To add icing to the cake, now a project for putting up of seating facility, children's park, open huts or Kudils with Terracotta roofs and lighting facility at the beach is sanctioned by the district administration. These facilities will make the tourism manifold on the beach side. The work is being put into the frame. Putting up a few shops for Women Self Help Groups at the site are also proposed which will provide eatables to the tourists here.

Chothavilai Beach is a tourist spot one must visit in Kanyakumari: At the distance of about 10 Kms from Kanyakumari, lies the Chothavilai Beach. It holds the importance of being one of the best natural beaches of the district. The background of the beach is designed with the shallow water and high sand dunes. The newly laid coastal road, which is a delightful drive along the sea-coast, takes the tourists to the beach.
