Next in prominence comes a place situated 3 kilometers from the GPO. Known as Punjpula, this is a historical place and has the Samadhi of Shahid Ajit Singh, the uncle of the great martyr Bhagat Singh. On the way to this place; tourists come across Satdara which is a natural spring. The water has high levels of mica and other important minerals which are thought to have medicinal properties.
Another important tourist attraction is the Jandrighat Palace. Located 3 kilometers away from the GPO, the path leading to this place passes through the western edges of the Bakrota Hill. The magnificent palace is the property of the Raja of Chamba. Another well known place falls on the way known as Subash Bowli. This is also a natural spring.
While in Dalhousie, make it a point to visit the Catholic Church of St. Francis. An important relic of the past, the Church was built in the year 1894.
The Dalhousie trip remains incomplete without a visit to some other attractions which includes the Bhuri Singh Museum in Chamba and the Pangi Valley. The Museum houses some of the exquisite collection of Pahari (mountain) sculptures and art.
The Minjar Fair dedicated to the River Ravi and the Mani Mahesh Fair are the other added attractions that one should not give a miss while in Dalhousie.
