Vegetation in the Gulmarg Biosphere Reserve:

The reserve is blessed with the species of emerald green conifers comprising of- Cedrus Deodara, Pinus Griffithii, Abies Pindrow and Aesculus Indica. The air of the enveloping environment is purified with the conifers which release a maximum amount of oxygen into the air during day time. The geographical conglomeration of trees and vegetation wets the ground of the reserve releasing thin cascades onto the frozen waters of the region.
