The popular name for Nagaur fair is cattle fair. One can experience the buying and selling of cattle in true agricultural style. It is said that over over 70,000 bullocks, camels, and horses are traded in nagaur fair very year. The fair is held 135 kms away from Jodhpur in Nagaur village.

Nagaur fair takes place between Jan - Feb every year. It continues for eight days. The main attraction of the fair is the number and type of cattle sold here. In order to attract the customers, the sellers decorate the cattle with colorful accessories. The sellers can also be seen sporting turban and big moustaches in true village style.

Apart from camels, goats, and horses, the other attractions of this Jodhpur fair are red chillies, camels, - leather accessories, wooden items, iron-crafts, and other handmade handicrafts. Nagaur is supposed to be the largest red - chilly market of India. The sellers of these goods work through out the year in preparation of this fair.

Nagaur fair is vibrating with activities like juggling, camel race, cock fight, bullock race, and puppet show.
