The prestigious club ranks among the top 20 clubs in the world and is the only national club in India. Occupying about 100 acres of sprawling green, the club is situated in the Tollygunge area, southern part of suburb Kolkata. The club is about 9 kms distance away from the heart of the city and a mere 20 minutes drive from the Chowringhee will land you to the exotic club premises. A short walk from the club will take you to the nearby Tollygunge metro station.

Amidst the bustling city life, the serene atmosphere of the club is really breathtaking. The club is enclosed with trees of unique flowering and tropical species inhabited by variety of fauna.
The land occupied by the Tollygunge Club in Kolkata was initially an Indigo plantation which was set up in the year 1781 by the Johnson family who was one of the pioneers of this plantation industry. Later on it was turned into Royal Park of the princely estate owned by the deported family of the brave Tipu Sultan of Mysore. In the year 1985 the entire estate was acquired by the Tollygunge Club Limited.
