To know about the timings of ferry rides and availability of tickets, go through the following lines-

  • Ferries from Port Blair to Havelock navigate at 6.20 a.m, 11.30 pm and 2.00 pm
  • From Havelock to Port Blair, ferries navigate at 2.00 p.m and 4.30 pm.

Boat Tickets arrangement fare for both to and fro is offered for 2 pax from Port Blair to Havelock at Rs. 1400 only. This happens, if packages are taken or the extent of the stay is more than three nights.

Private Ferries

M.V. Markuzz is a luxurious ferry. It takes you to the most sought after destination of Havelock. It is a passenger day cruise vessel between Port Blair and Havelock. Ferries to other Islands

  • Ross Island- From Port Blair you can reach here within a half day side trip. It ferries at 8.30, 10.30, 12.00, 14.00 daily. Tickets are available at the jetty behind the aquarium.
  • North Bay Island-This is a nice place to do snorkeling. Here around Rs. 300 per head is charged for snorkel and Rs. 200 per head for glass boat.
  • Baratang Island-You can enjoy limestone caves, mud volcano and parrots here. You can reach here in 2.5 hrs by bus and ferry from Port Blair.
  • Barren Island-This is a volcano island and India's only volcano. From Port Blair, day trips can be arranged. To visit the island, no additional permit is required.
  • Neil Island- Ferry travels here once a day within 1.5 hours. Some ferries go from Havelock.
  • Little Andaman Island-Ferries navigate several times weekly from Hut Bay and takes 8 hours.
  • Long Island-Ferries move numerous times weekly and take 8 hours. This ferry navigates further to Ranghat on Middle Andaman.
  • Diglipur-Ferries move few times a week and take 10 hours.
