The Nagaur cattle fair is held in the month of January-February every year. The fair goes on for eight days starting on Magh Shukla Saptami. This fair boasts of trading of about 70,000 bullocks, camels and horses. The animals are decorated magnificently with lots of accessories. They are garlanded and all this gives them a vibrant look. The owners of these cattle display their colorful turbans and long moustaches. They come here dressed for the occasion of selling their cows, bullocks, horses, oxen and camels. Apart from the cattle exhibition, the Nagaur fair is popular for the Mirch Bazaar or chili market.
The Nagaur fair is a big market of farm produce in Rajasthan. This fair is the biggest chili market in India. You can find other items of trade like the wooden items and handicrafts, iron crafts and camel leather accessories.
