Abhaneri is very famous for its ancient step wells also called as 'Baoris'. These wells were used as cool places of resort, water reservoir in parched days.There is a beautiful temple of Harshat Mata, and the legend goes that the goddess spread joy and brightness in the village. Abhaneri is believed to be founded by the legendary king Raja Chand. Hence, it is said that this village of Abhaneri is more than three thousand years old.
