Bikaner is the blooming desert town in Rajasthan state. This place is dotted with scores of sand dunes and the city stands on the slightly raised ground fortified by a 7 km massive wall. The Karni mata fair and Kapil muni fair are very famous. The state government organizes a camel festival and camel races along with many other cultural events. Fire dances are performed by the sidh people. All this is organized in the month of January.

Bikaner is famous for its handicrafts and leather articles, Bikaneri wool, palaces and has Asia's biggest camel farm. About the notable places to visit are Bikaner fort, Bikaner palace and Bikaner rat temple.
