  Rankapur is been named after Rana Kumbha to whom the Jain Businessman, approached to ask the land for the construction of the temple. It is renowned for some of the splendid carved Jain temples in Amber stone. Rankapur travel unveils the cultural heritage of the ‘city of the temple’; it is situated about 60kms north of Udaipur. The temple of Rankapur is an excellent manifestation of Jainism.

  Broadening across the Aravalli Range, Kumbhalgarh wild life sanctuary covers parts of Rajsamand, Udaipur and Pali districts. This wild life sanctuary makes a home to many endangered species of wild life. The wild life sanctuary provides a natural environment to many creatures like Wolf, Sloth bear, Hyena, Jackal, Leopards, Sambhar, Jungle cat, Nilgai, Chinkara, Hare and Chausingha. In fact, the Kumbhalgarh wild life sanctuary is the only sanctuary of Rajasthan, where you can trace wolf engaged in its activites.

  This Kumbhalgarh wild life sanctuary inhabits more than forty wolves in number approximately. During the summers, one can easily point out the pack of wolves strolling around water sources in the wild life sanctuary. If you find your interest in birds too, then here you can see a nice variety of birds. In the Kumbhalgarh Park, you can also see the Grey Jungle Fowl, which is usually inhibited. Doves and Peacock also gain attention by their own charm. Apart from this in these wild life sanctuaries, you can also trace the birds like Parakeets, Red Spur Owls, Bulbul, Golden oriole, Dove, Grey Pigeons, and White Breasted Kingfisher near the water holes.
