Ranakpur is a village located in the Desuri tehsil near Sadri town in the Pali district. Ranakpur village is very captivating, is located between Jodhpur and Udaipur.

Ranakpur has some excellently carved 15th century Jain temples in amber stone. It is one of the five holiest places of the Jain community. The basement of this great complex of the Jain temple covers 48,000sq ft area. It features four additional shrines with 24 pillared halls and domes. The dome is supported by more than 4oo columns and there are in all 1444 columns that support the temple. All the columns are carved intricately and have a different appearance. The most beautiful are the engraved nymphs playing flute in various dance positions at an elevation of 45 feet.

There is the temple dedicated to The Sun God. This temple is very beautiful and is adorned with polygonal wall richly embellished with beautiful carvings of warriors, horses and solar deities. This is another important tourist spot in Ranakpur, which is very popular.

You can take a ride to the outskirts like the Sadari- Desuri-Ghanerao and Narhai. You can enjoy a jeep safari through the Ranakpur valley or take a Horseback safari from Udaipur to Ranakpur. You can also indulge in other things like night drives, nature hikes through the beautiful Aravalli mountains.

The Ranakpur wildlife sanctuary is beautiful and is surrounded with the beautiful Aravalli range. You can watch wildlife like birds, wild pigs, jackals and other wild animals from close quarter
