Ranthambor
Ranthambor is very famous for the national park. It is situated in Savai Madhopur district of Rajasthan. It lies at the meeting point of the Aravalli hills and the Vindhya hills. It is the most beautiful place to spot wild animals in their natural habitat.

Ranthambor was established in 1955 as the Sawai Madhopur Game Sanctuary by the government of India. Ranthambor national Park was declared as one of the project Tiger reserves in 1973 and it became the national park in 1980. Ranthambor wild life sanctuary is famous for its Tigers. Other major wild animals include the tiger, leopard, nilgai, dhole, wild boar, hyena, sloth bear, sambar and chital. Ranthambor has the largest banyan trees in India and has a fortress called Ranthambor.
Ranthambor fort is another attraction and is regarded as one of the oldest forts in Rajasthan. It has huge walls, temples, tanks and huge gates. The calm lakes like Padma Talao, Rajbagh Talao and Malik Talao that attract a lot of animals and birds.
Jogi mahal is a forest rest house overlooking the attractive Padma talao. There is a huge banyan tree, which is considered as the second largest in the country.
There are many tourist attractions near Ranthambor like the Sawai Madhopur, Tonk, Karauli and Mahaveerji.
