How to Reach Chail

With Shimla just 43 kilometers away from Chail, the best possible way to reach the hill destination is from Shimla. However Chail can also be reached from Delhi.Tourists opting for air travel can catch a flight to Shimla and then avail a car or a bus to reach Chail.
If traveling by train is your pick then go for the toy train ride on the Kalka-Shimla route. This five hour long train journey comes as an added bonus to the trip to Chail. Time taken is generally five hours. As the train curves and twists around the tracks to reveal beautiful valleys, forests and mysterious tunnels, this train journey becomes a very special part of your holiday. Fun and comfort- both are guaranteed.
However if it is the road that you wish to follow then there are several possibilities. Tourists can take the Kalka Shimla route and reach Chail from Kalka via Kandaghat. The distance from Kalka to Chail along this route is 86 kilometers. One has to make a detour from Kandaghat from where Chail is only one and a half hours journey.
Another option is to drive from Shimla either via Kandaghat or Kufri. The route via Kufri is 43 kilometers whereas it is nearly 61 kilometers via Kandaghat. Alternatively, tourists can always opt for taxis and buses to reach Chail from places like Chandigarh, Kalka, Delhi and Shimla.
The distance between Chail and Delhi is 350 kilometers via Kalka and Chandigarh.
