    Nishat Bagh

    Nishat Bagh was designed by Asaf Khan, brother of Nur Jahan in the year 1633 A.D. The Bagh is situated on the banks of Dal Lake. This exquisite Garden has Zabarwan Mountains at its background that adds to the beauty of the scenery of this Bagh. Nishat Bagh is also called 'the garden of bliss' and you can have the look of the Dal Lake from this garden. You can also capture the sight of the snow clad range of mountain Pir Panjal which stretches to the west of the Kashmir valley at a distance. Nishat Bagh is the largest garden in Srinagar.

    Shalimar Bagh

    Shalimar Bagh is situated just opposite to the Dal Lake. This garden covers an area of 14 kms. It has about 150 fountains and four terraces. The highest terrace is called 'Abode of Love'. Colourful lights enhance the beauty of the garden. Mughal Emperor Jahangir is credited to have built this garden for his beloved wife-Nur Jahan in the year 1616 A.D. The light and sound shows that are held every evening here are a source of major attraction for the tourists in this garden. This garden is also well-known as the monument of love.

    Chesmashahi Bagh

    This garden is the creation of the Emperor Shahjahan in the year 1632 A.D. Chesmashahi Bagh is also known as the Royal garden. Chesmashahi Bagh has some springs in the garden that are believed to have some medicinal properties. These springs are known as Cheshma Shahi. It has waterfalls, fountains, three terraces and an aqueduct. This garden is a popular picnic spot. The memento shops outside the garden also fascinate the tourists.
