Trekking Hilley to Barsai

The path from Hilley to Barsai heads to north along the Singalila Ridge. It gives wonderful views of the great Kangchendzonga Range. The climb it offers is a gradual one. The distance of 4 kms takes 1.5 hours approximately. You can leave Hilley early in the morning, be back to it by noon time for lunch. If you choose to stay at Barsai for a night, it will be more fun as your night stay at Barsai will make you catch the fabulous views of the night and vibrant vistas of rhododendron forests. You can look for a resort in Barsai in order to stay amidst the rhododendron forests.

There is a trekking option for you so that you can enjoy your trekking to the fullest. To start on this option to trek, you have to march from Barsai and catch the trail which is an easy one and it heads due north-east to Dentam. You will come across the Alpine Cheese Factory here. Go ahead and check it out. It will add to the pleasures of your trekking episode. You can make an overnight stay at the Trekker's Hut or Alpine Guest House.
You can also proceed to see Pemayangtse monastery or Rabangla. You can also opt to retrace your steps to Sombaria or Namchi. Bus service is available but it is an irregular one. Shared taxis are freely available here.
