The Jalagamparai waterfalls are located at the foot of the Yelagiri hills. The falls are exclusive and beautiful and many tourists come here in big groups. There is a temple near the falls that is dedicated to lord Shiva. You will have to do downhill take the road on the plains and then climb the hill on the other side to reach the falls. This journey makes the place all the more interesting.
The Pugnoor lake is a popular tourist spot in Yelagiri. There is a lot of play materials installed in the adjoining garden the lake. There is a very interesting place nearby, the herbal farm of Yelagiri. It is maintained by the forest department of Yelagiri and has important herbs used in medication.
Swamimalai is the highest peak in the area standing about 43338 ft in height. Tourists come here to enjoy trekking in the hills. The view from the peak is equisite and is a great getaway. The hill has a number of trekking trails through the thick forests. Mangalam is a small village at the foothills. There are a number of temples on the way that attract the young and the old alike. The temple bells add the atmosphere of the place.
Murugan temple is is a holy spot in Yelagiri . It is a sacred destination of the Hindus and the temple is located near the Jalagamparai water falls. The temple is in the shape of Shiva Lingam. It is located on the highest peaks of Yelagiri hills. The views are panoramic from here and you can see thr entire Yelagiri hill area from here.
